Who are we?
With over 400 systems installed, Hudson Valley Clean Energy (HVCE) is the leading renewable energy company in the region – yet we are a local business. Founded in 2002, we exclusively serve the Hudson Valley, including Albany, Rensselaer, Columbia, Greene, Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester Counties.
HVCE designs and installs systems for residential and commercial properties, as well as federal and local government and non-profit organizations.

Our headquarters, located in Rhinebeck, is the first and only zero-net energy, carbon-free commercial building in New York State and the entire Northeast.
Our building consumes less energy than it generates, using a solar electric system to generate power from the sun, geothermal heating and cooling, and solar thermal collectors to heat all its hot water.
Upfront Rebates and Tax Incentives can total up to 70% off residential system costs, and approximately 60% of the total cost of a commercial system is covered by Grants.
